About Us

act-maha-02Milk and Honey Arts (MaHA) is a non-profit (taking) organisation registered under Section 88 of Inland Revenue Ordinance (Chapter 112) of the Laws of Hong Kong. We believe in the core values of Christ, such as love for one another, forgiveness, and compassion for the poor and needy. Our aim is to promote Christian values through various art forms including Chinese calligraphy, paintings, photography and sculptures.

We publish online regularly works of art collected from different parts of the world, attaching to each piece of work a message of Christian value in English and Chinese. Please see Virtual Exhibition at

about-us-1Your attention is drawn to the Chinese calligraphy section.
For Chinese calligraphy, we offer two categories of material:

(a) Calligraphy works on scrolls for your enjoyment and for practice too.

(b) Calligraphy model books
Those who are interested in learning Chinese calligraphy can practise by following the strokes for the characters, each of which appears in a 3 x 3 writing box, with generally eight boxes to a page. Parents and teachers can download and print out the model templates for children to use. As they copy and write calligraphy, they can also learn about good morals and ethics: honour your father and your mother, give thanks for all things, serve rather than be served etc.

Because of love, our group of art-loving Christians come together and share their gifts in art to serve God. The art works are uploaded on this website for you to appreciate and reflect upon.

We invite any of you who share our vision and objective to send us art works, so that we can post them on our site for all to enjoy. For details, please go to Artwork sharing

In addition to the website, MaHA also spreads the Gospel through art by different channels. In particular, we serve the following 3 groups of people in the Hong Kong community :

1. For students – MaHA develops Chinese calligraphy model books and provides them on the Internet for free download.

Our aim is to encourage students to learn writing Chinese characters with the brush and at the same time learning the teachings of Christ. MaHA organises art exhibitions in schools and tertiary institutions, for instance, we curated the art exhibition of the 6th Chung Chi Christian Cultural Festival which was held at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

2. For patients, their caretakers and medical staff in hospitals – MaHa organises Christian art exhibitions in local public hospitals in the hope that people will receive love, healing and comfort from Christ while they appreciate the artworks.

3. For prison inmates – Partnering with Hong Kong Christian Kun Sun Association, the MaHA team regularly brings artworks and life testimonies of different artists to share with inmates in the correctional institutions so that they too have a chance to enjoy art, hear the Gospel and be born again in Christ.

By the grace of God and thanks to the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, MaHA had the opportunity in March 2016 to hold the first-ever exhibition of Chinese calligraphy and paintings in its University Library and bring the word of God back to Israel. Please watch this video http://www.milkandhoneyarts.com/web/event/20160315/ for exhibition highlights. If you go to the Gallery and Calligraphy sections under “Resources”, you will see some artworks with Hebrew translation.

We sincerely invite you to join our ranks to promote the word of God through art to different parts of the world. If you are interested to find out more, please go to http://www.milkandhoneyarts.com/web/support-us/donation/

Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in

His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe Christians are committed to proclaim the gospel throughout the world, to make disciples of every nation, and to witness for Christ. The fulfilment of this commandment requires that worldly or personal ambitions be subordinated to unreserved commitment to Christ and that the Bible be the ultimate authority on faith and principles of our lives and works.
